From the recording Bumpin' in Williamsburg

Whenever I get a new instrument, I try to write a song on the instrument as a way to explore the sounds the instrument can make. A couple of months ago I bought a Firefly guitar, and every thing I played seemed to come out sounding like sixties jazz. So, I figured I would just go with it and recorded this tribute to sixties jazz legend Wes Montgomery.

Recorded in October and December, 2021 by Jim Tilly (guitars) and Randy Baxter (drums). A medley of opening and closing sections written by Jim Tilly, and a middle section taken from "Bumpin' on Sunset”, by jazz legend Wes Montgomery. The photos were shot in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 25 & 26, 2020.
